Went to a basketball game. We won, and it was a rivalry game with that university down the road on the other side of the state l ine. It was fun, but also most of the crowd is very different than the folks I generally interact with on campus. The f elt people wearing th ei r frat’s t-shirt don’t wander into our reading room very often.

It has a serviceable back for kids seat while still being a soft top. Plus there are plenty of dirt forest service roads around here. It’s not the same kind of fun as a roadster but I think I could still have fun with one while bringing the wife and kids along.

There is a lot of cool stuff here. I’m pretty sure it’s where all the vintage Fiats in America have ended up. But I’m warming the idea of a Jeep because the roof can come off and I can still realistically fit my wife and kids in it for a Few days if needed.

Being really sick, which for me means playing C ivilization. I’m on V now; wish I could play IV with all the mods, but they’re windows-only which makes it difficult, so I’m using the one I can play on my laptop. Just beat it on Emperor difficulty for the first time.

Also the lady is out of town so I have to take care of the pets and the house while I’m super sick... gonna be an interesting weekend. Hope I manage to get some maintenance work done on the truck and make some progress on the software side project I’m giving a talk on in a few weeks.

Oh, nice! I’ve never actually managed to complete a LAN game; it seems impossible given how long a solo game takes. And it must get super boring for one person whenever the other is in a war and they aren’t . Living with your opponent helps a lot I bet. How long does it take you to finish a LAN game?

Mostly joking with you. It’s not the stereotypical family car, but then I’m the guy who did the monthly shopping with two car seats in an RX-8. So, you know I won’t judge. :)
